This is a listening exercise which I use with my B2 students so as to give them some extra listening practice. The actual recording that accompanies the worksheet can be found on the BBC site, The English We Speak.http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/taeThe studenys are given the handout and I let them read it over, just in case there is any vocabulary that needs to be explained. I do not however explain the expression which is the backbone of the listening task.Afterwards I usually play the recording. If the students are a bit weaker I let them listen to the recording twice.I have included a scanned copy of my answer sheet with my handwriting on it. I hope it's helpful. Sorry if there is some Greek written on it here and there.

Students choose a mark of their own. (star, smiley face, heart, diamond, but nothing to elaborate. It's not art class, Kenny!)Decide who goes first, and the first person can enter her mark anywhere on the board. She would then combine the two sentence portions to make a sentence or question.The second person would then enter his mark anywhere on the board and also make a sentence or question.The point of the game is to get four in a row. Once a player gets four in a row, she should draw a line through the four and score a point in the score section (if you try to count at the end, you'll go nuts.) The person with the most point at the end of the game is the winner.

First of all I apologize if the format isn't perfect but I created this worksheet by Open Office and then converted it by Word ,(Open Office is a new Program for me, I'm still learning to use it), anyway you can change what you prefer. There are two activities to revise general language and writing skills, I hope it can be useful!

To revise colours

It's a funny worksheet useful to revise during the first days of new school year. Ss have to read the words and colour, in the second exercise they have to find the colours in the wordsearch and in the third one they have to guess the right colours helping by the pics and complete with the name of the fruits. For last they can colour all the other pictures
