Short text for ESL beginning readers about two dogs in a family, and followed by comprehension questions. Simple vocabulary suitable for non-native English speakers, especially young children.

Two Heads are Better...

This is a partner game. In pairs, your students are asked ten questions, the answers to which are all two word answers. Once you’ve asked the question, one partner will give the first word of the answer, but for the pair to score a point, the other player must give the second word. If the first player gives you both words they do not score a point. Demo a few times for best results.
