U2 - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - Song Gap Fill

The present perfect is a verb tense which is used to show that an action has taken place once or many times before now. The present perfect is most frequently used to talk about experiences or changes that have taken place, but there are other less common uses as well. The present perfect is formed using has/have + past part.The construction of this verb tense is straightforward. The first element is have or has, depending on the subject the verb is conjugated with. The second element is the past participle of the verb, which is usually formed by adding -ed or -d to the verb’s root (e.g., walked, cleaned, typed, perambulated, jumped, laughed, sautéed) although English does have quite a few verbs that have irregular past participles (e.g., done, said, gone, known, won, thought, felt, eaten).i Questions are indicated by inverting the subject and has/have. Negatives are made with not.The students have to fill in the gaps to complete the song by using the Present Perfect structure to practice the grammar in positive and negative sentences.
