What were they doing at the beach at 5 pm? Past continuous practice

Very easy ESL activities to practice the past continuous based on a picture of a beach. The first activity is a Chain game, the teacher begins saying When I went to the beach "somebody" was doing "something", then a student repeats the beginning of the sentences and adds another person. In the second activity the students must write affirmative sentences about the picture. In the third one they must correct the sentences. And in the last one the must write questions or answers. I hope you will find it useful.
